Alice In Wonderland Reading Presentation Images

How does Lewis Carroll depict reality and fantasy through pictures in this story? Do the pictures seem realistic, imaginative, or a combination of both? Do the pictures contradict or enhance the text in any way?

  1. That third picture you have posted of the baby and person holding it is not typical. Both the person holding the baby and the actual baby look very upset. Typical pictures include children and their mothers both looking happy, or at least the person holding the baby usually looks comforting. This person does not have a comforting look, it is a more angry and mad look. I remember seeing this picture in my book when i came across it and not thinking too much about it. After carefully looking at the picture I realized the anger in the faces of the people except the cat and Alice. The cat is the only one smiling and Alice is looking curiously at the scene. The cat smiling is just another way to show an unrealistic factor of animals. Also, Alice may look happier because she is still an innocent child as the boy says many times.
